I attended Athens Drive High School in Raleigh, NC and played Varsity for 4 years. Although I experienced success early, I suffered two season ending injuries, which nearly ended my hopes and dreams of playing basketball in college. However, I returned to play my senior season and received scholarship offers to play at St.Andrews College and Campbell University. After suffering another injury to my knee I decided not to pursue college basketball and accept an academic scholarship that offered more benefits.
During my time at UNC-Greensboro I started coaching the UNCG Intramural Basketball team. I coached this team for 2 years and led the team to the Greensboro City Championship. After graduation, I moved to Atlanta where I started coaching basketball at the Boys and Girls Club.
My wife, Brigeeta and I have two sons, Patrick and Noah. They developed a love for basketball at a young age. Their desire combined with my passion for teaching the proper fundamentals of the game, drove me to coach nearly 10 years ago.
